Child Care Subsidies

South Dakota Child Care Assistance

Child care assistance (subsidies) are available based on family income. The South Dakota Department of Social Services offers child care assistance to eligible families with earnings up to 209% of the federal poverty level (FPL). Employers can let parents know that South Dakota has a child care subsidy program for low-wage working families to help make child care more affordable. Parents can apply online or mail in an application.
